IRVINE is a master planned community in South Orange County, California, located just off the ocean and coast behind Newport Beach.
The city of Irvine was started from the old Irvine Ranch by The Irvine Company in the late 1960s. The city has currently over 190,000 residents and has excellent business and economic environment, with technology and medical jobs for the highly educated and trained. Industrial parks are in the north and south parts of Irvine, including the Irvine Business Complex, the Orange County John Wayne Airport area and Irvine Spectrum.
Irvine is home to the University of California at Irvine and Saddleback College. Irvine has one of the best public school systems in the State of California, a highly educated population, low crime rate, good places religion and worship activities, mild weather without much fog, and modern infrastructure.
The city is made up of about 35 villages and areas for residential and commercial development. Each one includes the supporting infrastructure to provide for needs of the residents. Shops and restaurants are located within the villages. Linking the villages are arterial roads & streets crossing the city. Getting around Irvine is easy using public transportation (bus system) and automobile with the San Diego and Santa Ana Freeways and bicycling.
The Broadmoor development in the TURTLE ROCK area is one of the oldest in the city. University Park and TURTLE ROCK villages were started in 1967 before the city was incorporated. TURTLE ROCK village is located south of the UCI campus, west of the San Diego Freeway (SR405) and southeast of Corona del Mar.
Weather in TURTLE ROCK is mild, because of close proximity to the ocean. Because of the low hills behind and the coast, Turtle Rock doesn’t get socked with fog.
